It’s been a busy week here for Treacys Hotel Group with the expansion of our family hotels with no less than two official openings in a week! Kicking off the celebrations, we began with the official opening of Treacys Oakwood Hotel, Shannon formerly The Oakwood Arms Hotel. TV Celebrity and proud Clare man Marty Morrissey kicked off the official launch of Treacys Oakwood Hotel with over 100 invited guests who were hosted by Maria Keena, nee Treacy, her husband Ed, General Manager Una McMahon and her team. Maria and Ed have continued to invest in this 100 bedroom hotel which recently underwent a refurbishment and it is certainly an appealing venue for wedding couples, conference bookers, leisure and corporate guests. The icing on the cake has to be that this exciting hotel has just been awarded its prestigious 4 star rating by the national, independent assessment body, Fáilte Ireland. Later the same week, TV Celebrity Francis Brennan kicked off the official launch of Treacys Hotel Monaghan with over 100 guests who were hosted by Eileen, Keith and their team.
An iconic hotel, perfectly located between Dublin and Belfast has been purchased by Eileen Treacy and Family and creating over 50 new jobs. The hotel has undergone a massive refurbishment, landscaping and is certainly proving to be an appealing venue for wedding couples, dinner dances, leisure and corporate guests.
Both Maria and Eileen were joined by their parents Jim and Bigid Treacy who purchased the first Treacy Hotel- Treacys Hotel Waterford 40 years ago this year as well as their brothers John, Patrick, Anton and Tommy and the extended members of the Treacy Family.
